Hang-Out 2

The next night we had Matt & Mary over for a BBQ, for the matched kids (2 girls and a boy in each family, nearly same ages) to run around and to hear their travails in house-hunting.  Their son Matthew is our godson, being baptized the same day as Owen.  I just think that's the coolest.  As usual, our kid's the shrimp.  We laughed that that's what twins would be like.

Hang-Out

Recently we headed up to Kevin and Jess's for dinner and swimming.  The adults had some nice beverages and we almost ended up staying the night.  The kids loved getting to stay up late watching TV while we plotted the purchase of a five acre plot of land in the next room.  All five of us are very blessed to have such friends!

 

Scooter

Owen's officially scooting around now.  Don't have the video just yet, but put a toy a bit in front of him and off he goes.  This morning Bobbins put him on his play mat in the middle of his room.  About 15 minutes later she heard him crying, and it wasn't his sisters bugging him.  She went in and he'd scooted all the way under his crib to the corner of the room and was stuck.

Princess

MM sure likes to ham it up.  Just today she (with JoJo) told Bobbins that there was a place where the princesses were real, where you could take pictures with them and they would sign papers for you.  It's called Walt Disney.  Cousin Darcy told her all about it.  "Let's go Daddy!"

Big Smile with Grandma

While visiting Grandma and Grandpa, Owen flashed a trademark smile.

New Rifle

Got an early birthday present from Grandpa this year - a new Ruger 10-22 rifle.  He even put a nice scope on it.  Pretty excited and can't wait to shoot it.  Easy to afford the ammunition too - if I can find it in stock anywhere!

Also can't wait to take Owen shooting someday.

3 Cousins

With all of Bobbins' family in town, we took Anna, our niece, for a few nights to play with MM and JoJo.  They had a lot of fun together as girls.  The sleeping photo is from Sunday after swimming all afternoon on the way out to the Compound for dinner.

 

 

She Knows How to Make Her Brother Laugh

It's saved us several times, and it's also just cute to see, but MM has a way with her little brother.  She can get him to laugh and to talk and to pay attention (i.e. not cry or fuss).

Along with her brothers and dad, Bobbins recently did a really cool cowboy shoot at the Bunkhouse at the Compound.  She of course went all out in her get-up.

 

 

Fathers Day

Aunt Katie and Grandma Jay helped the kids do a real nice Fathers Day present for me this year.  The chittlun's each made hand-prints on the back of this custom t-shirt.  I believe they made one for Grandpa too.
