Camping near Williams with AHG

Plopped down at an old Boy Scout campground and had a fun time with the Schaefers and the rest of the AHG troop.

Two Front Palm Trees Removed

Never liked palm trees. They don't need watering but they provide no shade and drop little black balls everywhere. Bobbins paid a couple guys to cut our two in the front yard down. They dropped a large chunk on the concrete border of the grass, cracking it, but oh well.

New Front Patio

Bobbins wanted the Saltillo tile off the front patio, so she and the kids got to it one day. They knocked down the block wall below the porch swing. We would also eventually remove the middle planter in front of the door and reduce the height of the two planters on each side.

Here's a before and after of those planters:

Mike's Pinning as Chief

Owen and I flew to Los Angeles for a short weekend to attend Bobbins' brother Mike's pinning as Chief Petty Officer in the Navy Seabees. Mark and his fam picked us up at LAX and drove us up to Pt. Mugu. Owen & I crashed in Mikey's room. I caught Mike getting a little shut-eye after his last night of hell week before the pinning.

It was cool to see all the guys go through and be a part of the ceremony. God bless Mike for his service to our great nation and Navy.

On the right: "Chief Munninger, arriving"

Owen, Uncle Paul, and I flew out of LAX the next night.

Golf Day

One Saturday I took the two older boys to the Cave Creek driving range and putting green to get out of the house and get some practice in. They enjoyed smacking the ball as far as they could at the range, where we took the whole right end to ourselves and re-used the balls about a dozen times. They've got a lot to work on as far as putting.
