New Legs for the Fire Station Model

Another lockdown project was making new "legs," or posts, for the fire station model to sit on. There were only two before, and we decided with all the boys around, we better stabilize it better, so I made two more out of concrete pillar forms. Here the boys are helping me paint them black.

MM's Birthday

 She had quite they day, even though it was a "school day." The best part was the parade (link below) of friends and classmates who came all the way to our house to fete her. That was probably one of the only good things out of the panic, and was unique. Bobbins made a fancy cake for us to eat at home.

New Dishwasher

 This is our second new machine. Thanks to Grandma Jay for buying it for us. Poppy and I installed it ourselves. One of my first lockdown projects.

The outlet was already like that when I took the old one out.

First Rally at the Capitol

 Our first "protest" was before this, driving around honking against the lockdown. This was the first rally Bobbins and her folks went at the State Capitol.

Chalk Cross and DM Sunday Mass Read-through

 

This pic was at the end of our Divine Mercy Mass read-through. I usually got the privilege of corralling Christo during our at-home Masses.

Easter Egg Hunt

 Only four hunters this year. I'm sure Christo will be going full guns next year. Margaret got to help hide them.

Easter Picture

 Even though the Church was closed, we got dressed up (as we did every Sunday) and read through the Mass at home, making a spiritual communion.

Home Work-out by the Girls

 My boss at work encouraged us to send videos of working out at home during lockdown. I had the girls submit one of their work-out videos.

Re-Painting the Cross

 With all our free time, we decided to re-paint the white cross at S's folks' house. It was also a good Easter project. It wasn't until we got up there we realized we didn't have an opener. Ever resourceful, Bobbins used Owen's belt to open the paint can lids. It wasn't the cleanest job, but it got done.

Karl III Visit

Bobbins' cousin Karl came down from Las Vegas for a visit -- and some personal grooming. He ended up working on pools with Paul and getting sunburned, which Bobbins had to treat as well, with lavender. Edward had the most fun with our cousin.

CAUTION

The boys got a roll of yellow CAUTION tape for Christmas. Owen finally decided to make use of it in the backyard, "decorating" the patio and play area. We laughed that the City had confused our backyard as a park and come by to close it like everything else.

 Like a lot of our kids, ours did some chalk art out front while locked down from school.
