Pats Run 2014

Jacopone came out to Tempe with me this year for his first Pat's Run.  Bobbins was a trooper as usual lugging the three kids.  Jacopone finished a couple minutes ahead of me, while I posted a pretty good time of 30:03.  We enjoyed the fair afterward, and I got my usual Sun Devil autographs, including QB Taylor Kelly.  My sister Katie also ran this year but mistakenly put herself in one of the last corrals, so that Jacopone and I finished about an hour ahead of when she started.  She did well though.  The first pic is her nearing the stadium finish.

Afterward, we walked over to the Mona Plummer Aquatic Center, where Zeus (Zach) works.  He was finishing up his shift so we checked the place out.  Pretty cool.  Would be fun to swim and dive there someday.  Aunt Katie snapped a family shot of us.

First Game in the C League

Since we dominated the D league this time out, they promoted us to the C league for the spring playoffs.  We won our first game fairly handily, with a good crowd cheering us on.  In the last team photo, look for a certain someone in the dim background.

Bobbins and the kids went for a little stroll in Papago Park the other day.

 

 

Super Stroller

Aunt Patty gave us this classic pram of hers, but it's too big for us to store.  Anyone want to buy it?


The girls have enjoyed riding in it; not sure about Owen.  It's a beast to push.

Like His Sisters

Let's hope Owen's newfound thumb doesn't become a long-time habit like his oldest sister's. Bobbins did some nice side-by-sides with his sisters.

Sat. Night Out

We had a great night out with friends recently. As usual, it was self-segregated between men and women.  Bobbins enjoyed some fruity girl drinks while was introduced to the lovely pleasures of an Old Fashioned.

Neighborhood Egg Hunt

Our neighborhood had the annual egg hunt on Holy Saturday at "Mormon Park" up the street from us.  It's a great time.

 

 

Easter Egg Hunt

We had Easter dinner at our house with just Jacopone and Featha & B.  Low key this year.  The girls were quite ready for the egg hunt beforehand.  We had plenty of eggs, enough that it took Jack, Featha, and I ten minutes to hide them all.  We let Genevieve out early to find some easy ones, then MM and JoJo to hawk out the rest of us.

 

 

 

 

Easter Fam Photos

 This year, Bobbins made her own dress in addition to the girls'.  We snapped this shot before heading to Church.  This year we tried the 9:15 overflow Mass outside under the big shade canopies in the school playground.  It was still fairly reverent, with good music, and it wasn't too hot. We sat a little too close to the speaker but were up front to see.  Fr. Bolding gave a great homily as usual.

Breaking Out

Bobbins likes to set up streamers for the kids to "break through" when they wake up on their birthday morning.  MM was excited for her 5th break-through recently.  She's getting so old.  Pic's from her party soon.
