9 Holes with D

My buddy Dennis and I took an afternoon off to squeeze nine holes in at the Cave Creek Municipal Golf Course. I took Owen along as caddy. A highlight for him was seeing a coyote running through a wash. It was hot and I didn't have any spectacular holes, but fun being out there with them.

First Day of School

MM in 3rd grade, JoJo in 2nd.

New Dog

When we got back from the beach, Bobbins was dead set on getting a new dog. I tried to talk her out of it, as our old dog wasn't that near death and having two dogs didn't seem like a great idea. Undeterred and Unconvinced, she took the kids to the pound and ended up with this guy, who looks A LOT like the old dog, only a tad smaller.

We go to the horse track one day every year at the beach.

Bobbins Trying to Sleep at the Beach

There's no a/c in the unit, since it's so close to the beach and breeze. This year was uncharacteristically hot, however, and the unit is closer to the street than to water. Bobbins gets very hot at  night and had a hard time sleeping. One night she even went on to the balcony but it didn't really work.

We made it to Solana Beach this summer, thankfully. Below are shots of us playing in the sand.

I did a Costco run to get us ready for the Beach. We ended up with too much water, surprisingly, but everything else got consumed.

He did his annual busting out to start the day.

Bobbins made him quite the fancy schoolboy cake, at his request.
