Driving Range

One Saturday I took the girls and Karin to the driving range at Orange Tree. JoJo had been asking about golf for a while, remembering her lessons last year, and MM wanted to tag along. Karin's father is a big golfer but she had never been or swung a golf club. We spent about an hour on the range hitting 100 balls or so, then another half hour on the putting green. By then the girls were losing their concentration. It was a fun outing.

It's actually a really big help because he gets hangry.




MM is good at holding, soothing, and playing with him too.

At School

Bobbins snapped some photos of the kids while waiting for David to finish track so they could head home. We carpool with another family, which works out great.

He is obsessed with these motorcycles. Poor Bobbins can only play with him so much, saying "vrrooooom" about 1000 times.

Poop Art

Owen is the first of our kids to spread his own feces on the wall. He's been doing great on his potty training, so I guess we can't complain too much. It also seems to be a boy thing.

 T Fish was really excited one night after dinner. Maybe he enjoyed his jars of food that much. He is an eater. We joke that he and Karin are the eaters are at the table.

CCW Class

My sister Katie graciously watched the 4 kids, with a little help from Zach, so Bobbins and I could take the all-day concealed carry weapons (CCW) class at the Scottsdale Gun Club. Neither of us have a great desire to carry concealed (in fact, I didn't even submit the permit paperwork, which cost $60, for Bobbins) but just wanted to better educate ourselves. It was informative. Half the class is legal considerations. I was surprised they have you shoot first, just five rounds at five yards and five rounds at ten yards. Bobbins had to go twice to pass.

 

Visit to Childrens Museum

Bobbins took the 4 kids to the Phx Childrens Museum one day during spring break. She picked up a family friend, Jessica, who took the girls all around while Bobbins stayed with Booch and T Fish in the toddler room.

Easter Egg Hunt

T Fish was down, so just the older three. It was the first year for Booch, who relished it. MM asked if the Bunny was real. All 65 eggs had at least one M&M in them. Booch opened every one of his eggs in the fort and ate the candies. JoJo found the golden egg in the fort.

 

 

 

Easter

Nana T and Pop visited for Easter this year. Bobbins got really sick with strep throat, which put a major damper on Good Friday. Saturday the kids decorated eggs and we took it easy. Bobbins and I got to go to Vigil, which was awesome. Karin even came, which was a full exposure to Catholicism. A guy from my men's group got confirmed, so it was nice to see an adult really receive the Holy Spirit in a sacrament. Our priest friend, Fr. Bolding, accidentally spilled hot wax from the Easter candle on his giant terrorist beard, then spent the next 20 minutes trying to pick it out, which cracked up Bobbins and I.

4 Kids

It's been a lot of work but a lot of fun having these 4 kids. Sometimes we can barely keep up while other times we can't imagine life without them. At the end of every day we breathe a sigh of relief that we made it, and thank God for it. These boogers truly are gifts from God.

The girls have been loving reading that Bible at night. MM got it from her Christian school last year.

Playing in the Crib

I'm sure T Fish is thinking: "Dude, get out of here, I'm trying to eat/drink." Booch is just too excited to share his toy motorcycle. You can probably make out Booch saying "brother," in the video's first part, and that sound in the second part is the one he makes for "moto," or motorcycle.

T Fish Shot Up

Not so much in size - he's still long and skinny - but in development. It seemed liked out of nowhere he started crawling, pulling himself up, busting in two teeth on the bottom, sitting in his high chair and eating food. He was only 7.5 months at this point. He's way ahead of his siblings in the crawling department; they didn't start until about 10 months or so. Guess he's just trying to keep up.

Karin's 2nd Dinner

Karin made us a second dinner in March, a fried chicken and rice balls made with Japanese mayo. They were delicious.

JoJo gave it the peace sign, which is like two thumbs up.

Fish in Bed

He gets to have his morning bottle in bed with mom.

Karin's Ear Piercing

Bobbins took Karin to PV Mall during her spring break to get her ears pierced. Of course, JoJo was highly interested, but our girls will have to wait till their 13.
