Obviously it's a ways off, but this seems like a huge development to me. There's the positive side of saving premature babies from dying, but I tend to see more clearly the negative implications. A sexless society is the Left's dream, and removing reproduction from women's bodies would be one giant step in that direction. Brave New World, here we come.
From the article:
Extremely premature babies could be kept alive in future using an “artificial womb” that scientists plan to test in humans after a successful study involving unborn lambs.
A plastic bag filled with artificial amniotic fluid – the nutrient-rich liquid that sustains a foetus in the womb – allowed foetal lambs to develop at an age equivalent to 23 weeks in humans.

Busted Toe
Against my advice, Bobbins went out at night to hang some new towel hooks on the patio. As she was screwing one in, it fell out and plummeted toward her toe, striking the nail perfectly, pretty much destroying it. The pain was so much she started crying, which made the girls start to cry. They brought her holy cards and a crucifix to help her, which was quite sweet.
These pic's were taken shortly after it happened. It looks way nastier now.

Trumpism the New Punk Rock
I thought this was a pretty good article comparing the Trump movement to 1970s punk rock:
Wattenberg says Trumpism was "an insurrection against Conservatism Inc." — a political establishment that had become flabby, complacent, and self-indulgent in the same way that 1970s progressive rock music had grown bombastic, pretentious, and long-winded. Whereas Republicans before Trump had been terrified of deviating from orthodox positions on trade, the desirability of immigration, or the wisdom of the Iraq war, Trump thumbed his nose at this orthodoxy.
Then there's Trump's seeming amateurism — his "inexperience and rawness," Wattenberg says. Just as punks weren't trained musicians, Trump is frequently assailed for not playing politics the right way, that is, the professional way. When Wattenberg hears the media establishment pounce on Trump for falsehoods, misstatements, or exaggerations, he hears echoes of musical sophisticates belittling punk rock for its primitivism. Trump may get lost in the details, but he gets the big things attitudinally right. Put another way: He may know only three chords, but Wattenberg says his followers hear the "right three chords."

Queen Bobbins
This was actually for the school's production of Macbeth, and this was Lady Macbeth's dress. Bobbins put it together nicely, and she looked quite good in it herself.

MM on the Guitar
We inherited this purple toy guitar from OK, and MM has shown an interest. So far it hasn't been destroyed yet...

We've Got a Bike Rider
That balance bike really helped Booch. When he finally decided he wanted to take a crack at his real bike, which he got for Christmas, it only took him a few days to learn how to ride. He had the balance down flat and only had to learn the coordination of pedaling and steering. Now he cruises around like an old pro, jumping curbs and speeding down our driveway.

Marriage Encounter Picnic
One Saturday at Encanto Park Marriage Encounter had its annual picnic. S was in charge of photos, so we had to do a big back-drop and all, lugging it from the Sequoia to the picnic spot. D and I ran a spirited game of wiffle ball/kickball. Booch and Moose both got in on the action. Later, we had classic team games like fill the cup with spoons of water. It was a nice afternoon.

Nun Run 2017
I was late to my own building project because that morning was the Nun Run out in Tempe. I've done this every year and love the cause, so there was no way I was going to miss it. Our carpool buddies also ran, so the girls stuck with the mom so I could do my 10K. I ended up finishing 15th overall with a time of 48:08. That was third in my age group (30-39), in which I was the highest. I had a couple photos of the girls but am not sure what happened to them. We had a great time, of course, and I was very proud of the girls.

Building the Patio Cover
After the hired workers finished the pool, the kool deck, and all the pavers, and after I finished staining all the wood, it was finally time to put up the patio cover. We had a couple mis-starts, namely on the post bases, but we finally had everything ready at the beginning of March. Of course, we ended up taking all day Saturday and most of Sunday, but we finished. Uncle Jack was the designer/project lead, while Zach and I did all the high work. Owen and T Fish helped a little on Sat.
