Last week we visited family near Tulsa, OK. The flight out on Southwest went pretty well.
MM got right to playing with her cousins when we arrived.
Aunt Mel had us over for dinner, her delicious tacos, that first night. She had gotten rid of her high chair so we had to get creative with MM's seating. Us adults ate on my grandmother's beautifully restored dining table and chairs.
Thurs. morning the girls all packed up for the zoo, while Aunt Mel and I played golf.
That night we made smores at Mavis and Clint's new fire pit.
On our way out of town Monday, Bobbins talked me into stopping at the USS Midway on the harbor in downtown San Diego. The old aircraft carrier has been turned into a neat museum. The girls were too young to appreciate it, but Bobbins and I had a blast. We saw almost the whole ship, except for the bridge, because the girls weren't allowed. I snapped the first photo of S while waiting to get in line. That's three current US carriers in the background.
Mike and Nadia had us and Mr. & Mrs. M over for dinner Sunday afternoon. The kids got to run around and us adults analyzed the previous day's events. We ate the leftovers (of which there were plenty) from the Buca rehearsal dinner Fri. night. Nadia also prepared some great bruschetta. That's Bobbins and her two nieces Abby and Anna in the first photo.
These two got along for the most part...
