J started the day off right.
My dad and I got this photo before we took off for a golf outing.
We hosted a family BBQ in the late afternoon.
Grandma D made some great desserts.
Bobbins and Kate had quite the fun with sparklers.
We had a great view of the Phoenix Country Club's fireworks from our backyard. Jay and Shellie rated them from the swing.

Bandaid and Bedtime
They drew blood at J's pedi appointment Friday, to compare to the screening at the hospital. Bobbins snapped a photo of her first bandaid at home.
MM is such an easy baby to put to bed. She just takes her bottle and plays a little before falling a sleep. We are very lucky in that regard.

Goodbye and Good Luck, Brother (belated)
On Thursday 24 June we had a little BBQ for my brother. The next day he was flying to New York with my parents. That Monday he would enter the United States Military Academy as a New Cadet.
Bobbins, as usual, put up some appropriate decorations. It was a nice touch.
Thanks everyone for coming.
"What will the girls look like?"
I love you Uncle Dave!
Best of luck Brother! We know you'll kick ass. We love and support you.

A tea party for 2
So romantic. I know! The girls received a lovely gift from formally my moms group to now my friends. How wonderful it is that they can join the girls, and mom, and maybe even daddy, with such a little addition to the play room.
Yes baby gifts are great but having friends that help and are there for you are even better gifts. Thank you from the bottom of my c sec incision and my heart. I appreciate you.

When Marcelly finished breakfast she crawled right to her new table. Getting ready for afternoon tea can be tiring so she took her break.
Needless to say we put the chairs away for now.
The Jo bird has landed
Both of us were anxious to get out of the hospital. It is hard to just sit there when you can be sitting at home...blogging...in your own bed. So thank the heavens the OB Dr and the pedi Dr said we were cleared to land.
Twins? Someone will ask at some point, but for now the redness in Josie and the smirk in Marcelly will keep that question at bay.
Going from Josie to Marcelly is a world of difference. Marcelly seemed so small and baby like and now she is HUGE. The actual time between them is 14 months and 2 weeks. In baby time that is pretty much a life time.
Let the sisters unite.
