MM's Recital

We all schlep'd out to Mesa one Wed. night for MM's big ballet recital. It was held at the main church that runs the classes, and it was one big recital for all the kids programs. So it wasn't just girls ballet but acting, dancing, singing, etc. Thankfully MM was in the first hour, so we could leave at intermission, which was at 8pm. It was a little too modern and hip-hoppy for my taste, but MM did great on the big stage and had fun.

"Nuttycracker"

MM had her ballet recital at school back in December, called the "Nuttycracker."  She had been very ill with a fever and tiredness but rallied for the event.  You can tell she's still not 100%, but it was her only recital of the season, so she had to make it.

Ballerina

Last week MM had her first ballet class, in a City summer program that's once a week for eight weeks.  She was quite excited beforehand and watched several classic ballets to practice.

She was pretty pooped afterward and ended up napping for a couple hours after the short snooze on the ride home.  She clearly had a ton of fun.
