My colleague and her husband organized a group of to participate in the Phoenix Heart Walk, which was cancelled because of the Rona. Instead, we donned our shirts and hiked in the northwest Valley. We tried to maintain the "social distance" for the group photo.

Hike Up Our Mountain
I think this was Ward's first time all the way up by himself, and Christo's first time up at all. The mountain just west of us, which we walk to, is a great hike with tremendous views of the Valley. Sure appreciate living here.

Thanksgiving Morning Hike, Dinner at Uncle Jack's
We did our annual Thanksgiving morning hike at Dreamy Draw with friends. It was a large crew, of course. Mark and his fam joined us. We took Uncas, which wasn't too bad. Good to hang out with everyone.
Later we had a full dinner at my uncle's in Scottsdale with all of my family. We got a bunch of great photos which Dallas put into a hardcopy album. The food was fantastic (and plentiful). Aunt Susan and Uncle Jack did a presentation on their recent London trip. We played charades. We went for a long walk around the neighborhood. It drizzled just a little. A wonderful Turkey Day.

Picacho Peak Hike
Bobbins needed another break from everyone. I had always wanted to hike Picacho Peak but had never made it out. I talked Zach into meeting us there from Florence. It was a beautiful day, maybe a little windy. On the way up people kept asking us if we were going all the way. I knew it was challenging toward the top but didn't think it was that big of a deal.
Well, it was. Zach and I and the kids tried to navigate some of the climbing on cables but had to turn back. There were a few points where I really feared one of the kids would go tumbling down. Worse yet, we had to turn back the way we came, which I hate, but the descent down the other trail was too steep with too much cable climbing. We vowed to come back in ten years when all the boys are old enough. Hopefully I'm not too old by then.
