Hanging Out in OK

We were foiled by weather in our attempts to do the Paul Memorial Golf Tournament, so we did a lot of hanging out in Mavis & Clint's shop, which was fun. They have quite a set-up. Tristan also has a little dirt bike that he rode Owen around on a bunch, which delighted Owen.

We had two tournaments, one for ping pong, one for cornhole, and you know who was on the winning team for each.

Eward taking it all in, hoping to one day be like dad.

Shower and Pioneer Woman Visit

While I was stuck at the wheel of a minivan full of kids, Bobbins was living it up for Becky's wedding shower and the next day driving up to the Pioneer Woman's compound for a tour and meal.

To Okla. for My Cousin's Wedding

My dad was supposed to rent a van and drive out to Oklahoma for my cousin Becky's wedding. A few weeks before the big event he had to have a knee surgery, and he could not sit in a vehicle stationary for that long. I kept the minivan rental and did all the driving myself, with the four older kids. Bobbins and Edward flew ahead of us so Bobbins could go to the bridal shower and hang out with the Okies. (She also stayed a day later than us.) This pic is at the old courthouse in Holbrook, where we stopped for a pee and stretch break. We had stopped briefly in Payson for an ATM break that became a pee break. It was the only time one of the girls tried to use the training potty I brought along for emergencies. JoJo didn't like it, of course. The boys used Gatorade bottles like me.

The first night we bedded down in Oklahoma and got a to-go meal, inc. a beer for me, from this joint, right next to our hotel. We had to get back to the room so MM could do her tutoring with Ms. Estes.

School Fundraiser Scramble Tournament

Assembled the usual guys for my foursome this year, and we did quite good, aided especially by string, which saved us a couple strokes on the par 5's. You would think a 57 would win the tournament, but I think we finished in 4th. It was a great time out with the guys.
