Fisher Did It!

Quilt for Julia

With Julia here, Bobbins has had time to sew again. She is making a quilt for Julia to take home to Brazil. Julia is helping, of course.

Going to Need a Bigger Fireplace...

2017 Christmas Tree

Unlike in 2013 with Julia, we went to Moon Valley Nursery instead of Home Depot.

We decorated it that evening. MM broke her annual ornament, and Baby Jack claimed a couple as well (my favorite bulb ones, of course).

New Fireplace & Castles n Coasters

Since we moved in and re-did the kitchen tile backsplash, Bobbins has felt the red brick fireplace was too "heavy." She liked the texture and it being brick, but it needed to be lightened up. So just like they did with the fireplace at our old house, Bobbins and her Aunt Patty got materials (this time white tile grout) to re-face the fireplace. It took them all day, but they got it done, and most importantly, Bobbins was thrilled with the result.

Fish and Baby Jack went to Nana's while I took Julia, the girls, and Owen to Castles n Coasters (Casters and Roasters to Owen) for the day. The girls were out of school for the Solemnity of the IC, and I took the day off.

Welcome Back Julia!

Our best Christmas present this year was Julia coming back for a visit, this time as a tourist, not a student. She's wanted to come for a while and was finally able to make it happen at the beginning of December. We were thrilled to have her. The girls were so excited they ran past security and nearly got in trouble. Owen, Fish, and baby Jack got to meet her for the first time. It was quite a reunion at the airport.
