For Bobbins' family trip this year, her parents decided to take everyone on an Alaskan cruise. What an opportunity! What a challenge, taking five little kids! I had just gotten back from Europe on my work trip and we left the next day. I had enough time to pack and semi-adjust to the time, then we were off. Thankfully Gaia's parents sent some extra money so she could come with us.
Bobbins' mother got us a hotel on the north side of Seattle. We took the light rail from the airport to downtown, then the bus the rest of the way. We bought tickets even though the bus didn't take tickets and the drivers didn't care if you had one or not. We had to transfer once, and it was hard to lug around each of the kids and all our bags, but we made it. After checking in, we jumped on the bus back downtown to see the Space Needle and the park at its base. Clare & JT (Paul's kids) came with us. The Needle is still undergoing renovations but it was worth it to pay the $ to go up. The kids area on the ground was fun, but we were all getting tired & hungry, and it started to rain lightly.
