Ketchikan Rainforest Hike

We think of snow and ice and glaciers in Alaska, but there's a large stretch that gets enough rain to qualify as a rainforest. Our Ketchikan excursion was a hike into one, a former lumber mill. They also had an eagle rescue/exhibit.

It was on the cold side and fairly rainy. We had jackets to get us through but sure enjoyed the hot chocolate at the end.

With our guide's help, Bobbins licked a banana slug.
