Josie liked the smooth ride -- perfect for napping.
My dad and brother joined us for the golf game, and we did a scramble, Kevin and I against them. We generously gave them 12 strokes. That turned out about right, and we also tied on putts.
The course was originally only 9 holes, and the original nine is great. I didn't care a lot for the expansion, although that was where we had a nice birdie, on #8. The original 9 (the holes north of the road) is pretty tough. The fairways are narrow with forest on both sides. #17 is a looong par 5, 565 yards. We should've parred it but muffed our approach after two pretty good woods. The green being uphill on that hole was a real challenge. #18 was also neat, with the teebox on that same hill and the green far below at the base. Kevin shanked it right and nearly hit some people on the practice green, but redeemed himself with a nice pitch and putt to save our par. My dad played amazingly well in the fairway and Zach contributed some good chips and a couple putts. They need to add drinking water and keep the cart girl operating regularly, but otherwise it's a fun course I look forward to playing again.
